SNOW SNOW SNOW!
I love snow. Seriously. I cannot get enough of it. Seriously.
It's October and it's snowing. We got 2.5 inches yesterday, and most of it has melted away, but more is on the way later this week. Of course it will melt away too, because it's going up into the 60's this weekend, but hey, I will take all the snow I can get!
Good Ol' Midwestern Fun
So I think I am assimilating just fine. I went apple picking and horse back riding with some new friends, and well, I think it's safe to say we're all much closer now. I'll get to that in a few.
We went out to Minnesota Harvest Apple Orchard. It's about 45 minutes south west of the city. It was kind of rainy and overcast and I was worried because I didn't bring a rain jacket. When we got out to the farm though it had cleared right up. So horseback riding was first on the agenda, and well I dont have many pictures because I was a little distracted. You see when I was mounting my horse...I ripped my pants. And we aren't talking a tiny tear. Nope, we're talking a big hole. So that was awesome. Especially since we still had apple picking left to do.
All in all the horse back riding was great, we went through a back part of the orchard, and it was really beautiful. Apple picking was fun too, I just tied my sweater around my waist and started picking.

To Market to Market to buy a...
Farmers Markets! They are all over the city! They are full of fresh flowers, fresh produce, and people! Here are a few pics.
I spent my morning browsing and sampling! I bought these apples called "Honeycrisp" and apparently the Unviersity of Minneapolis came up with the apple by cross pollinating 2 kinds of apples! SOOO good!

MOA...that's Mall of America for all you tourists...
The Mall of America.
Where do I even start? This place is HUGE. It has 520 stores, 50 restaurants, 20 thousand parking spots, an aquarium, and a Nickelodeon theme park...complete with roller coasters!
It also has a Lego Imagination Center, which is basically a shop devoted to Legos and there are crazy elaborate lego displays... here are some Lego Dinosaurs!
Over all its a big mall and seems to always be crowded (I've gone a few times) It has some really cool shops and great deals, but you have to really look for the big sales.
Beautiful Sunsets
So when I moved here I never imagined I would see sunsets that compare to the ones I've seen in FL, but wow I was wrong! I was driving home from shopping out in the burbs and this is what I saw! So beautiful!
Here are 2 pictures from my balcony! I really love this city! Then again, it's still in the 80s...What can I say? I brought the warm weather with me!

Take a walk in my closed toe shoes...my mismatched size closed toe shoes that is...
So today before work I thought it would be a good idea to go buy some flat closed toe shoes. For 2 reasons. 1--I dont own any--2 my pants were too short for my hooker heels.
So I head over to Macy's and don't really see anything I like...and at this point I am starting to freak out, because I am wearing flip flops--and I have to be at work in like an hour...so I finally find a pair on the clearance rack--BCBG flats were $85--now $25...YAY a deal! Or so I thought.
So I put them both on...walk around the store...they feel great! I buy them--and rush off to work--leaving enough time for me to get lost--hey...at least I am honest.
I get to work, and I am in the parking lot scarfing down some Starbucks (for those of you who are curious: venti iced red eye with non-fat and 2 splenda) and throw my shoes on...I jump out of my car and I am headed into work...and the more and more I walk in these new shoes...the more and more my left foot is hurting (which is weird...cause my right foot usually hurts--because I broke it riding my beach cruiser drunk--and it healed wrong...) so I kinda stop to check out whats going on...and low and behold...the Left foot is a 7.5...
Mind you my right foot is an 8...so what do I do? Keep the bad shoes on...I am not about to pull out flip flops on day 2. I doubt that would win me any brownie points with the big bosses.
All in all, not a great start to day 2.
Day 3 is going to be spent with me having a conversation with the folks at Macy's. And hopefully buying some new comfortable closed toe shoes!
P.S. pics to come of the shoes...

I'm such a jerk!
So in my last post I totally called my mom out on calling me too early--and what do I do? Call my parents--thinking its only like 10:30PM...so here is my formal apology! I guess sooner or later one of us will get it right!
